About

Liberty Arsenal International Soccer Club/Academy (LAISC) was founded in 1992 by Marvin Andrade, a retired Army veteran and local soccer pioneer, and has since served as a pathway for thousands of players seeking opportunities to showcase their talents at the regional, national level and even overseas.

Nicknamed "Arsenal" - our club is led by passionate volunteers dedicated to the development of youth and adult soccer in the All-American cities of Fayetteville and Fort Liberty, North Carolina along with the surrounding underserved communities. The club is incorporated as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization and remains focused on promoting soccer within the local community by providing access and opportunity to anyone interested in playing the beautiful game.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Mission of LAISC is to create a fun-filled, high quality, challenging and competitive sporting environment that enables local youths and adults to realize their full potential as soccer players. Our Club provides quality coaching, professional skills training, and high-level competition in order to facilitate the development of technical skills, game understanding and personal character that will benefit each individual both on and off the field of play.

CORE VALUES

Our core values help us unlock individual potential, promote teamwork, develop soccer players and citizens with character and personality, and stimulate lifelong learning in a fun, safe and competitive environment. These values are as follows:

  • Develop the Individual player: We take pride in our obligation to ensure each individual player learns and grows in soccer and beyond while they are a member of our club. In addition to the technical, tactical, physical and psychological components of our player development curriculum we ensure FUN is ever-present as we believe it is essential in developing the complete player. Our youth development programs are tailored with this in mind and set the foundations to enable a smooth transition to competitive soccer.
  • Promote a Culture of Winning: As players grow and develop superior skills, and without largely compromising on fun, players are introduced to the idea that winning matters. We believe this idea challenges each player to realize their true potential and perform to the best of their ability. Our competitive youth programs and pre-professional adult programs help make the embrace of this culture a reality and has far reaching benefits to individual aspirations both on and off the field, long after they have departed our club.
  • Respect: We treat everyone with dignity and respect. It is the unwavering principle around which our club operates. Respect for all, for self and for the beautiful game. We foster an environment that promotes sportsmanship and embraces diversity, an environment free from harassment and discrimination of any sort.
  • Integrity: Doing the right thing always, even when no one is watching. We pride ourselves in being honest and transparent in our interactions with each other, our opponents and all stakeholders within the beautiful game (parents, referees, volunteers etc.). This is an identity we embrace both on and off the field.
  • Accountability: Exercising the discipline to take responsibility for your actions whether good, bad or indifferent. We review and identify mistakes when they occur and find ways to improve and not repeat the same. Similarly, we are proud of and celebrate our successes, and find ways to sustain the efforts that produced the favorable results. This in-turn promotes individual self-development and boosts organizational efficiency.
  • Execution: We believe our collective success requires optimal performance from each individual member of our team. Members trust in their training and abilities and prioritize putting forth the maximum effort every time they undertake a task or challenge.
  • Sense of Community: Soccer is the largest and most popular global sport. However, it is still fairly inaccessible locally. A primary objective of our club is to grow the game and make it accessible to all local youths and adults who want to play it, some of whom otherwise may not be able to do so. Our club works diligently to provide sporting scholarships to families in need, in underserved communities with the ultimate goal of ensuring that every child willing and able to play the beautiful game has the opportunity to do so. Moreover, our club of local volunteers are wholly invested in the development of our local communities and target our outreach efforts to include promoting and supporting local businesses, facilitating youth soccer, hosting soccer camps and pop-up training events for children, collaborating with military personnel, educators and first responders etc.
  • Safety First and Safety always: Safety is at the forefront of all our club activities. Our team is heavily invested in player safety and welfare. We ensure we utilize safe facilities, mandate use of protective gear, establish emergency protocols, and invest in safety training and education for all staff and volunteer members.
